Product Description

Designed to appeal to art enthusiasts of all ages, Semiramis has an innovative approach to combining texture, materials and colour. The striking palette of lime, pink, orange, yellow and white is the canvas upon which Rashid projected glass tiles, terrazzo floors, custom coloured carpets, patterned wall coverings and coloured glass walls. Works from Joannou’s extensive art collection including pieces by Jeff Koons, Sue Webster and Tim Noble can be viewed at the Semiramis’ bi-annually rotating exhibition in the public spaces. For business travellers, Semiramis offers a creative space in which guests can be both relaxed and inspired.

Semiramis Hotel is conveniently located in Kifissia, the business centre of Athens. Its leafy streets and historic squares play host to the Greek headquarters of a wide range of major companies. It is also the favoured neighbourhood of affluent Athenians who spend afternoons browsing the boutique shops and elegant cafes which the area boasts. Kifissia is just a 20 minutes train ride from the centre of Athens or 30 minutes by car from both Airport and city centre. Since Semiramis Hotel is set 340 metres above sea level, it escapes the humidity of central Athens.

Each guest room is decorated to the highest standards of design, with unique pieces of furniture by Karim Rashid and cutting-edge technology, such as LCD screens on each guestroom door which allow inhabitants to not be disturbed/for their room to be prepared, etc. All rooms feature private bathrooms; in-room cable TV, DVD and CD all supported by built-in sound system; balconies; portable phones; and free high-speed internet access, air conditioning, multi-bar and safe box. The Penthouse and bungalows have rotating flat-screen internet televisions with stereo sound and remote-controlled utilities such as hvac, curtain control, 2.4 ghz cordless phones and digital locks. The pool bungalows have their own private gardens. The hotel’s Presidential suite offers panoramic views of the leafy suburbs, the rolling hills which cradle Athens, and the built-up city centre to the South.

Meeting rooms also encapsulate the hotel’s focus on positive energy, heightened experience, design and art. The use of bright colours, modern art, flexible seating arrangements and high-tech multimedia equipment, is aimed at providing delegates with an inspiring and creative environment. The hotel also offers the sunniest meeting rooms in town, with extensive natural light as the rooms face the swimming pool – a destination in its own right. One meeting room opens onto a roof terrace which is a perfect space for morning coffee breaks and private business discussions. The indoor-meeting facilities are in a space of 165 sq metres with two sides being all glass, maximising the natural light in the room. The room can be separated into two, but as a whole, can accommodate 180-seats theatre style.
